Get Set for Work - Now Taking 2024 Expressions of Interest

Expressions of Interest for Get Set For Work 2024  Now Open!

Do you enjoy creating (and sampling) delicious food? Are you looking to develop skills to improve your chances of finding employment? Are you interested in studying at TAFE but aren’t ready to jump straight in to independent study just yet?


Look no further because expressions of interest are now open for the GSFW Cert II Cookery courses for 2024.




Who: 15 – 19 year old’s not currently enrolled in school or further study.


What: 10 week cookery course in a well-supported adult learning facility. This course is designed to give participants skills in employability, self-confidence, team work, life skills and much more. The course provides hands on practical learning and real world experience in preparing food for sale in a café and restaurant environment and will be run under the guidance of qualified chefs and ICYS staff.


When: Courses will be run in terms 2, 3 and 4.

Each course is 3 days per week for 10 weeks.


Where: QLD TAFE, Bundamba Campus.
